Hawaii Youth Symphony is proud to be able to offer assistance to local students, so that any interested Hawaii student may participate, regardless of financial ability. More information about the Financial Aid program is available at our website.
Additional scholarships may be available for neighbor island and Title I schools. Please contact jeremy@hiyouthsymphony.org for more information.
Need-based financial aid is made possible through generous donations from individual Hawaii Youth Symphony donors and the Michael Nakasone Legacy Fund In Honor of Youth Symphony II by Olivia de Jane.
Although financial aid awards come in a variety of amounts, depending on demonstrated need, families should expect to pay at least 50% tuition. HYS does not make any full-tuition awards. Financial aid funding is limited, and we are unable to make awards to every applicant. Financial aid is only available to Hawaii residents. PMI does not provide travel assistance for out of state students.
