Overview
Every summer at the Pacific Music Institute is an opportunity to make music, make friends, and develop skills that will extend far beyond the rehearsal room or concert hall.
A PMI summer includes a comprehensive music curriculum—sectionals, rehearsals, performances, and more.
PMI has programs for all instruments that play in a symphony orchestra, wind ensemble, or jazz ensemble.

July 3-12, 2026
- July 3-12, 2026: Strings Program, Winds, Brass, and Percussion Program, Jazz Intensive
- July 6-11, 2026: ʻUkulele Workshop
- July 6-12, 2026: Middle School All-State Band
We are excited to share a new schedule this year: students enrolled in Strings, Wind, Brass, Percussion, and Jazz Intensive programs will meet Friday and Saturday morning at University of Hawaiʻi! Beginning Sunday, programs will be at ʻIolani School. Dorm accommodations available at Hawaiʻi Pacific University.

| Jazz Intensive | July 3-12, 2026 | saxophones, trumpet, trombone, keyboard, guitar, bass guitar, drum set *other instruments may be eligible | entering 8th grade and up with at least 2 years of experience (no jazz experience required) |
| 'Ukulele Workshop | July 6-11, 2026 | ʻukulele | entering 6th grade and up. Intermediate and advanced students welcome |
| PMI MS All-State Band | July 6-12, 2026 | flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, saxophones, horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion | entering 7th-9th grade. Must be nominated by their band director and have completed first year of band instruction |
*Includes morning sessions July 3-4, 2026 at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Beginning Sunday, July 5, regular programming will be at ʻIolani School.
