Saxophone

Born and raised in Honolulu Hawaii, Lianne Hirano graduated from Kaimuki High School and received her Bachelors in Music from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she studied with Todd Yukumoto. As a 10 year member of the Hawaii National Guard, Lianne currently serves as a Sergeant in the 111th Army Band where she is the Head Librarian, Assistant Drum Major, Saxophone Quartet Leader, and Assistant Team Leader. She founded and leads the Synergy Saxophone Quartet, performs part time with the Royal Hawaiian Band, and is a member of the University of Hawaii Saxophone Choir. She serves as the marketing director for the Hawaii Saxophone Foundation and is the recipient of the University of Hawaii Chamber Group Scholarship as Lead Soprano Saxophone in the saxophone quartet. Lianne is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Saxophone Performance at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She served as a guest conductor for the University of Hawaii Saxophone Choir, Hawaii High School Saxophone Ensemble, and coaches high school saxophone ensembles.
