Returning to the National Orchestra Institute for a third summer, Alyssa Yoshitake is a San Diego native and has been playing viola since the age of nine. She is currently pursuing Masters degrees in viola and musicology the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she also completed her Bachelors of Music. Her primary teacher is Dr. Catharine Lees, but past teachers include Travis Maril and Che-Yen Chen. When she’s not practicing or researching, Alyssa enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her fiancé.
