PMI 2026 - University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and ʻIolani School
PMI has been hosted at several different venues over the years. For summer 2026, Pacific Music Institute took place at University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and ʻIolani School in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.
University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (July 3-4, 2026): Nestled in scenic Mānoa Valley, UH Mānoa is one of Hawaiʻi’s top universities with excellent music facilities and a welcoming campus atmosphere that’s perfect for meeting fellow musicians and easing into the PMI experience.
ʻIolani School (July 5-12, 2026): We spent our main program days at ʻIolani School, where you’ll find a culturally diverse school with a challenging yet nurturing environment that reflects PMI’s values of fostering excellence and personal growth.
Convenient Honolulu Location: University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and ʻIolani School is conveniently located in town, close to Waikīkī and Ala Moana Center. It’s near the best hotels, beaches, and other top attractions. The Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) is a nine-mile drive.

Hawaii Convention Center
The Pacific Music Institute takes place at the beautiful and spacious Hawaii Convention Center.
The Hawaii Convention Center is conveniently located in between Waikiki and Ala Moana Center. It’s nearby the best hotels, beaches, and other top attractions. The Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) is an eight-mile drive.

Parking
All students are encouraged to be picked up and dropped off for the easiest arrival and departure. Limited visitor parking is available at University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Visit UH Mānoa’s website for more info. The parking structure at ʻIolani School will be closed to PMI students until 2:30pm. Students who wish to park prior to 2:30pm may find street parking in the surrounding neighborhood or near Laʻau Street. Please be mindful of posted parking restrictions and residential areas.
Students may park in the Convention Center parking garage for $12 per entry. (This is not an in and out pass. If you leave the Convention Center and decide to come back, it will be another $12). There is a 30 minute grace period.
